Sizing of Frames

The size of a frame refers to the glass size. This does not directly correspond to the overall dimensions of the frame. In the description details of each frame you will find the overall dimensions for each frame size.

Choosing the correct size moulding

Some mouldings are only suitable for large frames, some are only suitable for small frames while others can be used for all sizes. We have done our best to make this as easy as we can. Both the Deadtree collection and the Metallic Distressed gold come in a thin version and chunky version. When you select a moulding from our range it will only allow you to select the suitable sizes for that moulding.

We have also matched fine gold (thin) and classic gold (chunky) that go nicely together.

Mounting Your Images in a Frame

I will make a new video shortly on mounting your image in a frame.

Hanging frames

I use 2 types of wall hanging systems . Sawtooth hangars for frames up to 14×14 inches and wire with hook for larger frames. The sawtooth hangars are great as they don’t get in the way of mounting images in the frame and they also allow for very accurate frame placement on the wall. 3M removable sawtooth hangars work perfectly as wall hooks. Just make sure you clean the wall surface before sticking it to the wall.

Larger frames require traditional wire and hook. Its easiest to remove the wire while mounting the image in the frame and then replace it. A no2 phillips screwdriver will be required. Any wall hook should work with these.
